Fortune magazine’s list of World’s Most Admired Companies is the definitive report card on corporate reputation. For 2017, 12 companies are ranked in the Life and Health sector and New York Life ranked third overall, factoring in nine key attributes of reputation: people management; use of corporate assets; financial soundness; quality of management; quality of products/services; innovation; social responsibility; long-term investment; and global competitiveness. A total of 680 companies from 28 countries were surveyed.
New York Life has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. New York Life joins the ranks of 516 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.
New York Life has been named one of the “Top 60 Companies for Executive Women” by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). New York Life was recognized as an organization that is committed to hiring, retaining, and promoting executive women. In addition to assessing corporate programs and policies dedicated to advancing women, NAFE measured results examining the number of women at the highest ranks and those with profit and loss responsibilities.
New York Life has earned Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2016 Diversity Leader Award. The award is given to companies that are advancing the evolution of diversity and inclusion.
